T-RAIN / PRODUCT GUIDE
How to choose rainwear: style, material and fit
Start with what you need the garment to do. A short walk, a working day outdoors and a motorcycle journey place different demands on rainwear. Think about the activity first, then compare coverage, materials and fit.
Choose the right style
A long raincoat, pull-on poncho and two-piece rainsuit provide different coverage. Consider a coat or poncho for upper-body coverage, and a jacket-and-trouser set when you also need rainwear for your legs. Look at how the garment fastens, how the cuffs fit and how easily you can put it on or take it off.
- Consider how long you will wear it and how you will carry it.
- For work, check movement while bending, reaching and sitting.
- Check garment length and fastening details.
Look beyond the material name
PVC and PU describe material options, but they do not tell the whole story. Base fabric, coating, seams or welded joins, and front fastenings also affect the garment. Two models using the same material can differ in cut and construction. Ask for model-specific documentation if your work requires a particular technical property.
Check the fit and ordering details
Compare the measurements with the clothing you will wear underneath. Reach forward and sit down to check freedom of movement. When buying through a store, match the model and colour to the listing and review the size, delivery and returns information.
For a team order, list quantities by model and size. Include the working conditions when requesting a sample so you can assess products and quotations on a consistent basis.
