T-RAIN / PRODUCT GUIDE
Care and visual inspection of reflective bands
Inspect bands for dirt, detachment and visible damage without presenting a visual check as measured reflectivity.
Quick answer
Check cleanliness, attachment and visible condition of bands. Use the product care instructions for cleaning. A visual inspection does not measure reflectivity or a protection class.
Inspect the complete band surface
Inspect body, sleeve and, for suits, leg bands separately. Note areas hidden by folds, pockets or other equipment. Photograph dirt and damage with model identity and view to make the enquiry clear.
Clean according to the label
Do not recommend the same solvent, brush or heat treatment for every band. Check the model care sheet and ask for support by code if detachment or abrasion is visible. Where a visibility class is required, verify document scope separately.
- Record band location and damage in front/rear views.
- Keep cleaning observations separate from performance classification.

Does a bright-looking band confirm its class?
No. Appearance does not replace applicable model documentation and measurements.
