Reflective long raincoat or jacket-and-trouser suit?
Compare RY coats and RFT suits by leg coverage, dressing sequence and band placement. Keep colour separate from protective classification.
Quick answer
RY models are long raincoats; RFT models have separate jackets and trousers. Consider a suit when the legs also need rainwear coverage. Reflective bands alone do not establish a certified visibility class.
Check upper and lower coverage separately
For a long coat, check how the hem changes position when sitting or bending. For a suit, check jacket-to-trouser overlap at the waist and the trouser-to-footwear interface. Separate trousers also let you assess whether the lower piece can be put on at a different point in the day.
Inspect bands on the selected model
Images show body and sleeve bands on RY-1800 and RY-1801, and body, sleeve and leg bands on RFT-8300 and RFT-8301. Fabric mass and carton quantities have not yet been supplied for the neon-yellow models. Do not copy the orange model’s figures to them.
- Specify the model code and need for leg coverage.
- Request the documentation required for the job by model.

This table uses the same data as product pages and model TDS documents. Fabric mass is in g/m², not finished product weight. Missing fields require confirmation.

Is a suit better than a long coat for every job?
No. Required coverage, movement, dressing sequence and job specifications determine the choice.
