Are reflective bands the same as visibility certification?
Distinguish visible reflective details from a documented visibility class and request the exact model evidence needed for work.
Quick answer
Reflective bands are a product detail. They do not alone prove a particular standard or visibility class. If work requires certified visibility, request valid documentation for the selected model.
Band placement and documentation are different questions
RY models have body and sleeve bands; RFT models also have leg bands. Photographs help inspect placement, not measured reflectivity or classification. Do not turn a reflective product name into an unsupported certification promise in a specification.
Separate sample and document assessment
On a sample, check whether bands are covered and inspect their position on jacket and trousers. For documentation, request the exact code and scope. Bags, vests or other garments can cover bands, so assess the complete outfit against the job requirements.
- Keep colour, band placement and documentation in separate fields.
- Do not transfer one model’s documentation to another.

This table uses the same data as product pages and model TDS documents. Fabric mass is in g/m², not finished product weight. Missing fields require confirmation.

Can a photographed band establish an EN class?
No. Classification requires applicable documentation and test scope for the model.
