T-RAIN / PRODUCT GUIDE

What technical evidence should support waterproofing claims?

Match fabric, joins and fastenings to model documentation. Prepare method and scope questions for numerical water-resistance claims.

Quick answer

A product name is not enough to assess waterproofing. Review fabric, joins and fastenings. For a numerical result, ask for the model, test method and whether the result applies to a component or complete garment.

Fabric results and garment results

A fabric test may not establish that the zip or complete garment was assessed under the same conditions. A report should identify the specimen and scope. Do not infer an unpublished hydrostatic-head value from coating type or fabric mass.

Turn a specification into a question

Include the required standard and acceptance criterion in the enquiry and request the response for the exact model. Do not transfer Y-7600 documentation to other suits or booted products. A sample helps assess function but does not replace a standard test report.

  • Match the model and document revision.
  • Ask whether fabric, joins or the garment were tested.

Current model data and technical sources

This table uses the same data as product pages and model TDS documents. Fabric mass is in g/m², not finished product weight. Missing fields require confirmation.

Does pouring water over a sample replace certification?

No. That observation is not a conformity or performance report with a defined method and conditions.
