T-RAIN / PRODUCT GUIDE
Hip, waist and chest waders: the differences
Hip waders are worn as separate legs; waist waders reach the waist, and chest waders extend to the chest. These are different forms of coverage. Choose according to the work, fit and intended-use information rather than garment height alone.
Start with coverage and movement
For hip waders, check upper-leg and strap fit. Waist waders also need a good waist fit; chest waders add body and shoulder-fitting checks. Height alone does not establish suitability for a particular job, so review the chosen model against your working conditions.
- Determine boot size separately from garment measurements.
- Check leg and body fit over your clothing.
- Review the straps or upper fittings of the specific model.
Compare pattern and boot construction
Plain, reed, forest and camouflage options use different model codes. In the Taslan chest-wader range, THK-1000 and STHK-1010 have PVC boots, while THK-1010 has PU boots. Compare the boot material and fittings as well as the pattern.
Make the product type clear in your enquiry
The word “overall” can refer to a full rain coverall or a different booted garment. Specify the product type, model code, boot size and intended use together. Add body-fit requirements when enquiring about a booted garment.
